Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies accurately and efficiently
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to service
- Resolve billing discrepancies and claim denials through effective communication
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare privacy standards
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EHR systems for documentation and billing
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate coding and documentation
- Generate monthly reports on billing performance and denial rates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn new software
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality
