Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit medical claims to insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen billing software
- Conduct regular audits of billing documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams for coding accuracy
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations
- Experience with electronic claim submission systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
