As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will manage the financial health of our practice by ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement of services.
Responsibilities
- Verify and enter patient insurance information and demographics with 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and submit medical claims (CMS-1500 and electronic) to various insurance payers.
- Track claim status and follow up on unpaid or rejected claims to resolve issues.
- Communicate with patients regarding billing questions, statements, and payment arrangements.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both electronic and physical medical records.
- Assist in the reconciliation of daily deposits and bank statements.
- Stay updated on healthcare coding standards and insurance regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in healthcare administration is a plus but not mandatory.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in data entry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection for remote work options (if applicable).
- Willingness to undergo training and obtain necessary certifications (we assist with this).
