Job Overview
As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our healthcare partners are reimbursed accurately and on time. You will handle the full revenue cycle, from claim submission to follow-up, while maintaining strict compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities
- Accurately complete and submit medical insurance claims (CMS-1500) using our provided software.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery.
- Manage and follow up on pending claims, appeals, and denials to maximize revenue collection.
- Review and correct billing errors to ensure compliance with HIPAA and payer guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding outstanding balances and payment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve complex billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or medical coding.
- Strong working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Familiarity with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or AthenaHealth preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized billing software.
- Attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in documentation.
- Certification (CPC, CBCS, or CPC-H) is a strong plus.
