Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Utilize your clinical judgment to accurately assess patient symptoms, prioritize care needs, and determine the appropriate level of medical attention required.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a continuum of care and manage expectations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR) regarding patient triage, assessments, and interventions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to facilitate timely and appropriate referrals and treatments.
- Resource Management: Assist in the efficient allocation of nursing resources within the triage department to minimize wait times and improve patient flow.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nevada.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Emergency Department (ED), Urgent Care, or Triage nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required. PALS preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Technology: Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR) and computer proficiency.
