Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs, medication reminders, and client progress accurately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the client's overall quality of life.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings using a personal vehicle.
- Follow strict care plans and safety protocols to ensure client well-being.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care needs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping the elderly or disabled.
- Basic computer skills for electronic documentation.
