Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceuticals
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and HIPAA guidelines
- Operate pharmacy technology systems efficiently
- Assist in sterile compounding when required
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Texas State Pharmacy Technician registration
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
