What You Will Do
Responsibilities
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy before claim submission.
- Submit clean claims to private insurance carriers and government payers (Medicare/Medicaid).
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and appeal rejections within established timeframes.
- Generate monthly patient invoices and ensure payment posting is accurate.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with medical providers to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Organize and file physical and electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite) and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to undergo paid on-the-job training.
