Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for all patients and visitors.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently using the practice management software and coordinate with medical staff.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and process payments accurately at check-in/check-out.
- Answer incoming calls with a polite and professional demeanor, routing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and inventory management.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding treatments, hours of operation, and billing with empathy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; certification in Medical Reception or Front Office Administration is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar healthcare administrative role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including EMR/EHR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Professional appearance and a positive, patient-centric attitude.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is highly preferred due to the diverse community in Glendale.
