Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, managing the check-in process efficiently and accurately.
- Schedule patient appointments, manage provider calendars, and reschedule appointments as necessary to optimize clinic flow.
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, answering questions and routing calls to the appropriate medical personnel or department.
- Verify patient insurance information, collect co-pays, and process payments accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Update and maintain accurate patient demographics and medical records in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Coordinate with medical billing specialists to ensure proper coding and documentation for insurance claims.
- Prepare necessary paperwork and patient files prior to patient visits to ensure a seamless clinical experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in medical administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical front desk, reception, or customer service role preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes is highly desirable.
