Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living under the supervision of licensed staff.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and charge nurses.
- Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document all patient interactions and care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program (ASN, BSN, or Diploma) within the last 12 months.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Demonstrated empathy and emotional resilience in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to adhering to HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
