Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone triage and determine appropriate level of care urgency
- Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to prioritize patient cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide clear instructions to patients regarding home care or emergency protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Support emergency department workflow during peak hours
- Educate patients on preventive care and health resources
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
