Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and charge nurses.
- Monitor patient health and progress by observing symptoms, reactions, and treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Document patient care services accurately and completely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure patient flow efficiency.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety audits within the department.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or ASN).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
