Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor resident vital signs and document observations accurately in electronic health records
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure resident comfort and safety
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders and state regulations
- Respond promptly to resident calls and emergency situations during overnight hours
- Maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of experience in geriatric or long-term care setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight shifts
- Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and healthcare team
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as needed
