Responsibilities
- Perform accurate vital signs and patient assessments
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) with HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and triage overnight emergencies
- Assist with lab specimens and diagnostic testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Night shift healthcare experience strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently during low-staffed hours
- New York State medical assistant license
