Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, and vital sign monitoring
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments per OSHA standards
- Administer medications under provider supervision
- Coordinate patient flow and optimize overnight clinic efficiency
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or equivalent
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred)
- Flexibility to adapt to emergency overnight situations
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
