Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and vitals, specifically during the night shift hours.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments in a calm, efficient manner.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed healthcare professionals, strictly following safety protocols.
- Maintain and sterilize medical equipment and exam rooms to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients.
- Manage patient records and electronic health records (EHR) with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient discharge instructions and follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP or ACCET) is required.
- Current certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA is mandatory.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (typically 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR software and general computer operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
