Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Obtain vital signs, review medical history, and perform initial patient screenings to ensure accurate triage.
- Clinical Procedures: Assist providers with patient exams, minor procedures, and administer medications and injections under strict supervision.
- Documentation: Accurately update Electronic Health Records (EHR) and ensure all patient charts are complete and up-to-date.
- Lab Work: Collect and process lab specimens, including blood draws, following strict safety protocols.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide clear instructions and updates.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment in accordance with OSHA and hospital standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs and assist with emergency situations as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong computer literacy.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional patient care skills, strong communication abilities, and a professional demeanor.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Location: Must reside within a commutable distance of Nashville, TN.
