Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages efficiently.
- Ensure patient comfort and provide clear explanations of procedures.
- Properly label, process, and store blood specimens according to strict lab safety protocols.
- Verify patient identity and accurately enter demographic data into the system.
- Maintain a sterile and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with nurses and lab staff to ensure timely specimen transport.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong desire to learn and work in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
