Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques and sterile environments.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to prevent retained items.
- Monitor patient vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse or surgeon.
- Handle specimens accurately for lab analysis.
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety and sanitation protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Candidates with a Surgical Technologist degree or certification are preferred, but we offer training for motivated self-starters.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation.
