Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients with a focus on accuracy and speed.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist the supervising pharmacist in compounding medications and managing inventory levels.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about prescriptions and medication interactions.
- Handle cash transactions and process insurance claims and reimbursements accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment in accordance with safety regulations.
- Monitor medication stock and place orders for replenishment when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- No prior experience necessary—we provide paid on-the-job training!
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment and handle high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
