Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as per care plans
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities
- Light housekeeping and meal planning services
- Companionship and emotional support to combat isolation
- Document care activities and client progress in electronic health records
- Coordinate with family members and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience (home care or senior living preferred)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and compassion
- Clear criminal background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- DC Caregiver License (or willingness to obtain)
