Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Assist clients with medication reminders and tracking as directed by the registered nurse.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversation, hobbies, and social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning duties such as meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social outings as needed.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs and communicate any changes in the client's condition to the care manager promptly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or direct caregiving experience is preferred.
- Certifications: Current certification or licensure (CNA/HHA) is a plus, but not always required for entry-level compassionate caregivers.
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a warm, patient demeanor.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the job.
