Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and the use of assistive devices to ensure resident safety.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Foster a positive and dignified environment for residents through effective communication and companionship.
- Respond promptly to call lights and assist with emergency situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Nebraska State CNA License.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or home health setting is preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the job.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented approach to patient care.
