Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using wheelchairs, walkers, and transfer techniques safely.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid Pennsylvania CNA License (required).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
- Previous experience as a CNA in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting.
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
