Responsibilities

  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with the utmost dignity and respect.
  • Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Assistance with Mobility: Support residents with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids safely to prevent falls and ensure comfort.
  • Nutritional Support: Serve meals and assist residents with eating as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Communication & Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records and communicate any changes in a resident's condition to nursing staff promptly.
  • Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current, unencumbered Washington State CNA license required.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • BLS Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
