Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Provide basic bedside care, including feeding and ambulating patients under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, following infection control protocols strictly.
- Document patient care plans, symptoms, progress, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide holistic care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and directed by licensed personnel.
Qualifications
- Current and active State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (ACLS preferred but not mandatory).
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
