Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the Charge Nurse.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure resident safety.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents.
- Support residents with emotional and social needs to enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license issued by the State of Michigan.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical stamina to perform the physical demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
