Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor patients' vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report any significant changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Document patient care activities, intake/output, and changes in patient condition accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure patients receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients according to infection control standards.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas or common areas as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid for Texas or Ohio).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients safely as required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not always mandatory.
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and reliable work ethic.
- Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
