Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including mobility, toileting, and feeding.
- Document patient care activities, including changes in patient condition, in accordance with hospital policies.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and patients to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff meetings.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (State of Indiana).
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification valid and current.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
