Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for medical examinations and assist with procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately.
- Support the nursing staff in implementing care plans.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
