Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues and transfer them safely between beds and wheelchairs.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and physicians regarding patient status and changes in condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with hygiene standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
