Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions or needs to the registered nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and visitors.
- Document daily care activities and meals served in the patient's medical record.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA license in the State of Tennessee required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be up to date.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients as required by the job.
