Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Monitor and record patient vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Virginia State CNA license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate and patient-centered attitude.
