Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide support with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, patients, and family members regarding care plans.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
