Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely between bed and wheelchair.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status.
- Administer medications as prescribed and reported by the Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered North Carolina CNA License.
- Proof of current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.
