Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during treatments including instrument handling and suction
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
- Update patient records and maintain digital documentation
- Order inventory and manage clinic supplies
- Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Current RDA or CDA certification required
- Minimum 1 year dental assisting experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and dental software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable transportation for flexible scheduling
