Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Perform dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper sterilization protocols
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain accurate digital records
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for dental procedures
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or graduate from accredited dental assisting program
- Tennessee Dental Assistant license (or eligible)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification (current or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent attention to detail and infection control knowledge
