Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre/post-procedure
- Prepare and transport patients to/from surgical suites
- Operate specialized surgical equipment (e.g., endoscopic, robotics)
- Document procedural details and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience preferred
- BLS certification (maintained current)
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique expertise
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
