Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, sterile operatory environment.
- Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and processing insurance information.
- Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing inventory of dental supplies.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting patients or equipment.
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records is a plus.
