Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontics
- Take and develop precise dental radiographs (X-rays) with advanced digital equipment
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of all instruments per OSHA standards
- Perform lab duties including pouring models, fabricating temporary crowns, and trimming appliances
- Provide exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage digital patient records and scheduling using Dentrix software
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Kansas Dental Assistant License or DANB certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a general dentistry setting
- CPR/BLS certification (renewal assistance provided)
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
