Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures
- Implement strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Manage patient flow and coordinate appointment scheduling efficiently
- Provide chairside assistance and comfort measures for anxious patients
- Maintain accurate digital dental records using Eaglesoft software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license (Texas)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography techniques and safety protocols
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work 3-4 days per week including occasional Saturdays
