Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following OSHA protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument transfer and patient comfort
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and care
- Manage patient records and digital charting using Dentrix software
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Order inventory and maintain stock levels for dental supplies
- Coordinate scheduling and ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Kansas Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- 1+ years of chairside dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and sterilization techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Valid CPR certification
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays
