Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Support: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring proper sterilization and patient comfort.
- Patient Management: Greet patients, review medical histories, and educate them on dental health and treatment plans.
- Diagnostics: Capture and process dental X-rays (radiographs) accurately and efficiently.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and cross-contamination prevention.
- Record Keeping: Maintain and update patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Administrative Duties: Assist with scheduling appointments, confirming reminders, and processing insurance claims.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Oklahoma Radiography license and Dental Assistant license (CDA/RDA) required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental office preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and ability to use modern dental equipment.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in record-keeping and clinical procedures.
