Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor surgical preparations
- Perform vital sign assessments, EKGs, and basic lab tests (urinalysis, glucose monitoring)
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccinations per provider protocols
- Manage patient records using Epic EHR system and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and inventory medical supplies
- Schedule appointments, process insurance forms, and handle patient communications
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current California MA certification or CMA/RMA credentials required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-volume environments
- Knowledge of OSHA protocols and infection control standards
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
