Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient information in EMR systems and maintain confidential medical records
- Administer injections, medications, and perform basic laboratory tests under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments, manage phone triage, and handle insurance verification processes
- Coordinate patient education materials and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked
- Assist with sterile processing and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Support inventory management of medical supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional communication abilities with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
