Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake and record accurate medical histories and vital signs.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, including phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintain patient charts in compliance with HIPAA.
- Prepare patients for examinations and provide education on treatment plans.
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage incoming communications professionally.
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory care setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Valid California Medical Assistant license.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
