Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient records using EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment per OSHA guidelines
- Schedule appointments and handle insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate with lab facilities and pharmacies for prescription refills
Qualifications
- Current MA certification or CMA/RMA credential required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain)
- Proficiency in medical terminology and EHR documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Flexible availability including evenings and occasional weekends
