Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures with precision and care.
- Accurately perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests according to established protocols.
- Manage patient records by updating electronic health records (EHR) and maintaining organized charts.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, handle incoming phone inquiries, and facilitate a smooth patient flow.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
- Assist with minor medical procedures and educate patients on post-care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when necessary.
