Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including medical history collection and vital signs measurement.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist providers during patient visits.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Handle insurance verification and billing inquiries with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventative care plans.
- Assist in basic laboratory procedures and specimen collection.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- State of Colorado Medical Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty setting preferred.
- Proficient in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
